Last week's comp was cancelled due to no surf. The comp has been moved to this Sunday (the 5th). It looks like it should be pretty small, but who knows.
Ace wins in France
You probably know it, but Adrian Buchan beat Kelly Slater in the Quiky Pro France to win the comp a week or so ago. This pushes him up to 9th place with 3 more events to go.
The Mundaka comp is going on at the moment. Not too good a swell there, but they reckon it's picking up. Apparently Slater might be getting his world title next heat. If Slater doesn't get through and Taj wins the comp he won't get the title, otherwise it's sealed.
Buchan didn't make it through his round one heat, coming third to Nic Muscroft and Pancho Sullivan. He's up against Hodei Collazo from somewhere in heat #4 which should probably (maybe) air in about 6 hours or so (5pm this arvo).
