Lovey's tall tales

Hey all,
Well, isn't Huey a bloody comedian, waves on Friday, Saturday, crap on Sunday and then on again for Monday and Tuesday. Anyway, it was good to get a contest on after the last month's cancellation. There were a few away competing in other contests, so it made for a early finish and a stress free day…nice…

All the boys came back with some good results…at the Ocean & Earth Teenage Rampage at Bar Beach. Young Thommo scored a 1st in the u13's and Josh got a 3rd in the u16's. Meanwhile, back at the Dave Wards Coke Memorial Dylan King got a 1st and Isaac Capilli grabbed a 4th. In the u18's Miles Kable scored a second and the old man of the sea Steve Liddle shredded into 3rd. Well done to all!

The global surf tag that was canceled last month is now on Dec 20 and 21 so we can still have a crack at those Sydney clubs.

Kings of the Coast is only a week away so massive support is needed on the beach at Nth Shelly, our club is one of the strongest in the water but lags behind in the screaming supporter stakes. So get out and get behind the kings so we get another title. After–comp entertainment will be supplied by a quiet and tasteful night at Woodies listening to the mellow sounds of British India, wont that be fun. So hurry and get your tickets kiddies.

Also, don't forget to get your fancy dress gear together for the preso on Dec 13th…sick…must also remind you that our AGM will be held just before our preso, all members are welcome.
Cheers, Lovey

BBQ at Alpine Beach

On the 8th and 9th of November (this weekend, aka tomorrow) there's a barbeque at Alpine Beach and Surf in Erina with all proceeds going to Avoca Boardrirders. Nice one!

President's blabbering

Well, here we are, at the end of another season. The waves have been pretty shit this year and we have had to cancel more contests than we would like but hey, shit happens and we can't control the surf. At this point i'd like to thank everyone that makes our club happen, the sponsors who put their money where their mouth is, the committee, without them there would be no club and you guys, the members, are the heart of the club.

The seasons not over yet we still have the last comp for everybody to pull out their most radical moves and post a final statement towards end of season glory and good luck to all, the fat lady hasn't sang yet.

Don't forget the Kings Of The Coast is on Nov 13 at Shelley Beach and if your not selected in the team do your bit and be part of the of the support crew and let the rest of the coast know why we are the premier club on the coast, wear your club gear and support your team, remember, they are you…

Congratulations to everybody who represented the club at regional state and national level, yo Dane winning the Aussies.

Hey I'm looking forward to single–fin day and the fancy dress preso should be outrageous, I know you will all have fun hope you get a win.
